Galaxy Platform UI
Galaxy Platform UI concepts and designs. While working as a backend engineer on the Galaxy Platform infrastructure in 2022 (internal to The Home Depot), I had the opportunity to also contribute as a designer and drive the direction of the user interface. The Galaxy Platform pulls together many experiences and interactions previously fragmented across various links, forms, and locations. The interface needed to be incredibly modular to accommodate the broad needs of both platform partners and end users. The design needed to balance the highly-technical nature of the material with maintaining an improved experience for potentially non-technical users.
Introducing a “block-stacking” design philosophy yielded a highly configurable, easily navigable, and consistent experience for our stakeholders and users.
